Manchester-based AV and unified communications provider ClearVC has acquired AV integrator VideoCentric for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition brings nearly 40 years of combined industry experience and significantly increases the enlarged company’s presence in the South of England.

Adrian Hancock, founder and chairman of ClearVC, said: “As a business founded and rooted in Greater Manchester, we’re proud to be enhancing our national presence to be more operationally efficient while continuing to invest in our regional base.

“This acquisition brings together two companies with a shared focus on quality and innovation. By combining our teams, we’re creating a more agile and capable organisation, one that can better serve customers across the UK while staying true to our values. This is just the beginning.”

The acquisition also brings VideoCentric’s newly launched flagship showroom in Edinburgh into the group, establishing a central hub for demonstrations, training and AV innovation in Scotland and giving ClearVC more UK-wide reach.

Founded in 2001, VideoCentric has a long standing presence in the Thames Valley and across Southern England. Its specialities span AV integration, equipment hire, installation, analytics, and long term support.

Looking ahead, ClearVC plans further investment in its Greater Manchester base, alongside expansion of the Edinburgh showroom and continued strategic hiring to support leadership and service delivery.

The group’s long term growth strategy includes a combination of organic expansion and targeted acquisitions, as it strengthens its position in the evolving AV, cloud collaboration, and hybrid work market.
